thumbnail The Sweet Stuff series came about when some friends of ours opened a new restaurant. At the grand opening they came out with a big tray of mini-sundaes. All that whipped cream, all those cherries... it looked so happy. I thought, "This is something I would never take the time to do". It made me feel good just to look at it. That's good therapy. I decided to paint it. I've since enjoyed seeing just how happy these delights make others feel, including my youngest collector. An elementary school age boy. What a treat! And what great parents, sending the message that living with art is something of value. |
