Expanding on a series of small works I did called "Notes from Spain," while continuing to create light with the paint, I kicked up the level of radiant color for Grande Notes. In this series, I pushed the flattened "abstract" background even further while still achieving a sense of depth. I love the feel of musicality and tempo that the patterns provide and the calm that comes from graduated color.
